The 5th grade trip to Philadelphia scheduled for January 18 - 23 was an amazing adventure. While staying at the Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge, www.ffvf.org, we were able to relive the experiences of daily life during 1776. The trip included traveling to Washington's Crossing, The Old Barracks in Philadelphia, the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia state house, the Betsy Ross house, Franklin's Press, Pennbury Manor, Penn's Landing, and we had lunch in an Amish home while seeing Lancaster county. We were also fortunate to have it snow over 3" on Monday; what a treat that was when we re-enacted the battle of Paoli with snowballs!
Get ready 4th grade for next year's trip!
