ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: We are living in a digital age with an abundance of technology all around us. While that offers us incredible benefits, it can also cause us to feel distracted, overwhelmed and isolated. The digital age is also inspiring more time indoors and less time in nature than ever before. We’re seeing a rise in attention disorders, anxiety, depression, suicide and physical ailments linked to sedentary lifestyles. Where do we start? What can we do? First we need to understand what’s really going on – the powerful role technology plays in our lives, what the attention economy is, and the negative outcomes that are linked to technology overuse. After the problem is clear, we can take purposeful and tangible steps to fix it – this is where we explore intentional living, solutions for wellness with technology and how the benefits of time in nature are a perfect counterbalance to increased screen time and tech use. We take a holistic approach and are solution focused. Our goal is to ensure participants leave with a deeper understanding of the role technology plays in their lives and come away with tangible tips and tools they can implement in their day-to-day.
