Principal’s Corner 2-13-19

We have seen an increase in the number of students bringing a cell phone to school each day. Students are using them before school begins and as soon as school gets out walking to carline. This is not a necessity. It is my wish that cell phones not be brought to school, since cell phones cannot be used during the school day. Students may bring a cell phone to school if the student is not returning home or with a carpool, i.e. play date, spending the night at a friend’s house, etc.  In those cases a cell phone must be placed in the front office first thing in the morning upon arrival. For those not in carpools, allowing cell phone use during travel to/from STA is your prerogative but please consider having your child leave their cell phone in the car at morning drop-off, which can be retrieved in the car during afternoon pick-up. If a student is using a cell phone on campus at any time before the end of school, without staff authorization, the phone will be confiscated and a parent must pick up the phone. Thank you for your support.
