We are pleased to announce the following Board members positions are open for the next Academic Year 2019-2020.   PTG Board Membership gives you the leadership opportunity as a parent to participate in making decisions that foster and build the entire STA community.  We ask that you volunteer for a position for at least 2 years and in the 3rd year the position will reopen.

Please submit your interest by May 24th by emailing Katie Winter, PTG President, with the position name, your name and a brief sentence or two about why you’d like to have that position.  Submit your interest to ktwintz@gmail.com.  Decisions to be made by Mr. Sperrazzo by June 5th. 

Positions up for submissions:

  • President – Leads the PTG Board and ensures the entire year’s events are planned, coordinated and successful. Works closely with Principal, Parish, parents, teachers and staff. Plus, a whole lot more!

  • Secretary – Documents all PTG meetings and notes. Assists with events and attends Board meetings regularly.

  • Room Parent Director – coordinates all Room Parent events and manages Room Parents.

  • Parent Education Event Director – Coordinates with special guests and speakers to put together educational presentations for parents and students 4-6x per year.

  • Events Director – oversees all Events and manages Event Coordinators.

Existing Events and Activities:

  • Welcome Back Parent Coffee! 1st day of school event offering coffee, pastries and social hour!

  • Sock Hop – All STA students and their families are invited for a night of music, contests & food!

  • STA Annual Golf Tournament – Lead our 2nd Annual Golf tournament!

  • Multicultural Awareness Lunch – Occurs during Catholic Schools Week on a school day during lunchtime and brings together food from cultures all over the world.

  • Mom-Son Bowling Night – A fun night for Moms and their sons knock down some pins and socialize with other STA students and Moms.

  • Snack Shack – Organize Nacho Sales throughout the year during school hours.

  • See’s Candies Fundraisers – Offered twice yearly for STA families to purchase See’s Candies with a percentage of the proceeds going back to the school.

  • Father-Daughter Dance – A themed dance night for Dads and Daughters to spend time together and socialize with other Dads and Daughters!

  • Teacher Appreciation Week – An entire week dedicated to celebrating and honoring our wonderful STA staff and teachers! Lunches, dinners, pampering, gifts!

  • PTG Closet – Manage the PTG resources on campus throughout the year.

  • Adopt-A-Student – Special fundraising drive specifically to raise monies to provide STA tuition assistance for families in need.

  • Skate Night – A rocking night of roller-skating with STA families, students, teachers and staff!

  • “Welcome Back” Tacos and Ice Cream Social – Our FIRST social event of the year held at the end of the first week back to school. Food provided by the Men’s BBQ Pit Crew.  

  • Movie Nights – Socialize and watch a movie with other STA families on the big screen on the grassy field. Food provided by BBQ Pit Crew. 3x/yearly.

  • STA Pancake Breakfast – A social gathering with delicious pancakes, Craft Fair and lots of fun for all STA families and St. Therese Church. (This position is already taken for 2018-19)

  • Grandparents/Grandfriends Day – Classrooms are open to Grandparents to visit, spend time with their grandchildren, attend a school-wide Mass and a luncheon to follow. Help make our Grandfriends feel special this day!
